First Test at Kampung Juar Station and Pauh Lima Station
Padang—Balai Teknik Perkeretaapian Kelas II Padang, in line with its mission to improve railway infrastructure, has conducted the first test at Kampung Juar Station and Pauh Lima Station. This activity is under the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation No. PM 36/2022 on the Organisation and Work Procedure of Railway Engineering Centre (BTP) to carry out the improvement, development, management, maintenance, and utilization of railway infrastructure.
As known, Pauh Lima Station, located in Limau Manis, Pauh District, Padang City, and Kampung Juar Station, located in Lubuk Begalung, Padang City, have been upgraded to meet the minimum service standards to provide the best service to train passengers in West Sumatra.
Together with the testing team from the Directorate of Infrastructure and the Railway Testing Institute of the Directorate General of Railways, Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia, BTP Padang conducted tests on physical structures such as buildings, support structures, and platforms.
"We hope that these two stations can be declared fit for use so that passengers can experience safe and comfortable stations," said Hendrialdi, Head of BTP Padang, in his statement.
For information, BTP Padang is undertaking various railway infrastructure improvements in 2024, including station buildings, tracks along the Padang-Bukit Putus-Pauh Lima line, and bridge improvements at various points along active railway lines in West Sumatra.
