LIGHT RAIL TRANSIT MANAGEMENT OFFICE LAUNCH LRT SUBSCRIPTION CARD

To increase public interest, especially the City of Palembang, in using the South Sumatra LRT for daily public transportation, the South Sumatra Light Railroad Management Office launched a subscription card for the people of the city of Palembang. The symbolic handover of the card was carried out directly by the Minister of Transportation, Budi Karya, during a working visit in Palembang City (Wednesday, 6/1) at Griya Agung Palembang City. There are 5000 electronic money cards prepared by the South Sumatra Light Railroad Management Office which can later be used by students in the city of Palembang.

The launch of this Subscription Card is clear evidence from the South Sumatra Light Railroad Management Office for the input and excellent service provided to the people of Palembang city to continue using public transportation modes. Currently, the South Sumatra LRT has been integrated with several other facilities and modes of transportation in the city of Palembang. It is hoped that the city of Palembang can become a role model for other cities in developing and maximizing public transportation services. In addition, the increasing use of the South Sumatra LRT is expected to reduce the level of congestion in the city of Palembang.
