South Sumatra Light Railway Management employees held training on an innovative new tool, the XGA20 Boom Lift. This training was held for two days on 21-22 June 2023 in the South Sumatra LRT Depot yard. The training, provided by Harjoni, an expert in Boom Lift operations, provided participants with the necessary knowledge and skills in using the tool.

The purpose of this training is to introduce workers of the South Sumatra Light Railway Management to the XGA20 type Boom Lift and its operation procedures. This tool has a 4WD drive that allows it to travel smoothly in many types of terrain, as well as the capacity to spin 360 degrees for access in narrow areas.

Participants in training not only receive a theoretical explanation of this technology, but they also have the opportunity to actually operate the Boom Lift in a practical session. The participants gained significant knowledge as they learned firsthand how to handle this instrument safely as well as successfully.

Harjoni, as the training instructor, gave a clear and systematic explanation on the use of the XGA20 type Boom Lift. He briefed the participants on the functions and important features of the equipment, as well as providing useful hints in dealing with situations that may occur during the use of the equipment. The participant also taught about routine maintenance and safety measures that should be followed to ensure smooth and safe operation of the Boom Lift.

The South Sumatra light rail management staff greatly appreciated the training as it improved their vitamins and efficiency in operating the equipment. They hope that the use of the XGA20 Boom Lift will provide great benefits in carrying out their duties, especially in the maintenance and repair of South Sumatra's light rail infrastructure.
