The South Sumatra Light Railway Management Center (BPKARSS) is giving full support to the 16th Student Sports Week taking place in Palembang from 26 August to 4 September 2023. In order to support this prestigious event, BPKARSS has taken several steps to provide better services to visitors, including athletes and spectators. 

One of the main initiatives is the addition of services at several key stations, such as Bandara, Asrama Haji, Bumi Sriwijaya, Jakabaring, and DJKA stations. This move aims to ensure that all light rail users can experience a safe and comfortable journey during the Student Sports Week.

A number of athletes who participated in the event also gave positive testimonials about using the LRT while in Palembang City. Sausan, an athlete from East Java, stated, " Taking the LRT is pleasant, comfortable, cool, and fast," when trying to ride the LRT from the Airport Station to DJKA Station. Positive comments such as these show that BPKARSS has successfully provided adequate service to all light rail users during this sporting event. 

BPKARSS is committed to continue supporting positive events such as the Student Sports Week to improve mobility and transportation convenience in South Sumatra. With the support from BPKARSS, it is expected that the 16th Student Sports Week will run smoothly and successfully.
