In the 2022 Performance Report, the South Sumatra Light Railway Management Center (BPKARSS) got a distinguished honor as the second-ranked work unit with the finest performance accomplishments. The award certificate was presented at the Work Unit's 2023 Performance Agreement Revision meeting on 16 May 2023, at the Yuan Garden Hotel in Jakarta. This award acknowledges BPKARSS's exceptional performance in carrying out its duties and responsibilities in the management of light rail in the South Sumatra area.

The Work Unit's 2023 Performance Agreement Revision Discussion Event was also an important opportunity for the Directorate General of Railways to review BPKARSS' accomplishments in achieving the highest national rating. Several important officials attended the event, including the Director of Railway Traffic and Transportation, the Director of Railway Infrastructure, the Director of Railway Facilities, the Director of Railway Safety, the Head of the Directorate General of Railways' Finance Section, the Head of the Directorate General of Railways' Legal Section, the Head of the Directorate General of Railways' Human Resources and General Section, and the Head of Balai within DJKA.

Aside from the performance agreement discussion, another action completed was the Preparation for Self-Assessment of the Implementation of the Government Agency Performance Accountability System (SAKIP) in 2023. This three-day program provided a chance for BPKARSS to develop the performance accountability system as well as increase transparency and accuracy in performance reporting reports.

With this honor, BP-KARAS is even more driven to keep innovating and providing greater services to the community. In essence, BP-KARAS initiated a new program to improve light rail connections.
