JEJAK AISYAH HOSTED ITS FIRST TRUNK SHOW IN PALEMBANG ON THE SOUTH SUMATRA LRT TRAIN

On Sunday (9/04), Jejak Aisyah hosted its first trunk show inside the South Sumatra LRT Train in Palembang. The founder of Jejak Aisyah, Angel Eva Christine, who was born in Medan, North Sumatra, carries the motto "Be Impactful" in the hopes that everyone, particularly women, can influence those around them. She raised and preserved the traditional fabrics of South and North Sumatra, known as Jumputan and Ulos, respectively, in this trunk show activity under the name Namora Collection.
"Namora (Batak language) means wealth. So I want to show the typical wealth of North Sumatra and South Sumatra," said Jejak Aisyah Founder who is of Batak blood.
South Sumatra LRT is quite supportive of this sort of activities, according to Rode Paulus, the head of the management center for the South Sumatra Light Railway.  "The Trunk Show held inside the South Sumatra LRT train is one of our efforts to support MSMEs so that they can survive in economic times like today".

Rode also mentioned that women make up about 39.8% of South Sumatra LRT passengers. We thus anticipate that via this event, the entire community, particularly the ladies of Palembang City, will become more familiar with and knowledgeable about Jumputan Fabric from South Sumatra and Ulos Fabric from North Sumatra.

There are 8 Palembang women participating in the trunk show, including Liza Sako, Een Wierono, Desy Natalia, Christy Chang, Shella Callestya, Deby Six, Dr.Rully Maya, and Pricilia Wadi. There will also be a guest star, fashion influencer and artist Rangga Moela, who is from Lahat, South Sumatra.

"Ask not what others do to you, but what you can do for those around you," the saying goes.
