THE NUMBER OF SOUTH SUMATRA LRT PASSENGERS REACHED 38,000 ON THE ANNIVERSARY OF PALEMBANG CITY

As the manager of the South Sumatra LRT, the South Sumatra Light Railway Management Center (BPKARSS) provided free all-day LRT trips on Saturday (17/6). This program is being held to celebrate Palembang City's 1340th birthday. The people of Palembang City heartily embraced this initiative.

The South Sumatra LRT stations are shown to have been congested with people who wish to utilize the LRT since the morning. This service is free for all routes, including airport transfers. All lines to South Sumatra LRT stations have a standard fare of 5,000 rupiah. Furthermore, the fare to and from the airport is merely 10,000 rupiah.

People keep coming and trying out this free LRT. According to Anton, one of the passengers from Banyuasin. 

"We are Banyuasin." I'd want to try riding the LRT because it's free. It turned out good,"

Today, 38,698 people used the LRT through the last South Sumatra LRT train arrived at DJKA station. The amount reported has increased by more than 100%. Because the South Sumatra LRT has a daily passenger capacity of 10,000 on weekdays and 15,000 on weekends.
