MONITORING SOUTH SUMATERA LRT, HEAD OF TRANSPORT MINISTRY'S PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICE ENSURES VOTERS' SAFETY AND SECURITY

The head of the Communication and Public Information Bureau (BKIP) of the Ministry of Transportation, Mr. Budi Rahardjo, visited several strategic points in South Sumatra. This visit was carried out to monitor and check the Lebaran transportation posts to ensure the smooth and safe travel of travelers. Monitoring activities were conducted not only at LRT stations but also at SMB II Airport, Kertapati Station, and 16 Ilir River Port. This step was taken to ensure that all public transportation facilities are ready to serve the surge of passengers during the Lebaran homecoming period.

During his visit, Mr. Budi Rahardjo was accompanied by the head of the South Sumatra Light Railway Management Center, Mr. Rode Paulus, and a team from the Ministry of Transportation. They directly monitored the operational readiness, safety, and comfort of each location, which is the main gate for the return flow in South Sumatra.

The Lebaran transportation posts were well prepared, equipped with officers ready to provide information and assistance to travelers. Checks on vehicles, tickets, and other equipment have also been tightened to minimize the risk of travel disruptions.

This visit is also a moment to coordinate with related parties such as the police, medical officers, and other agencies to maintain synergy in the face of the predicted increase in homecoming flow ahead of Idul Fitri.

With the steps taken, it is hoped that the Lebaran homecoming process in South Sumatra can be smooth, safe, and comfortable for all travelers returning to their hometowns.
