LRT SUMSEL CELEBRATES 5TH ANNIVERSARY

Light Rail Transit (LRT) South Sumatra celebrated the 5th Anniversary of LRT at Jakabaring Sport City area, Palembang. The celebration, known as LRT Fest 2023, was filled with a series of fascinating events prepared to entertain and celebrate important milestones in the management of light rail in the region.

The event was officially opened by the Head of the South Sumatra Light Railway Management Center, Rode Paulus. In this meaningful moment, Rode Paulus cut tumpeng to mark the start of the 5th LRT Anniversary celebration.

LRT Fest 2023 offers a wide variety of exciting events that are sure to captivate the appetites of visitors of all ages. Pound fit with Tari Witjes invited participants to exercise and channel positive energy through fun fitness sessions. In addition, the MSME Bazaar also enlivened the celebration by showcasing superior products from local businesses, thus supporting economic development in South Sumatra.

The highlight of LRT Fest 2023 was LRTiology, a grand music concert featuring a number of famous Indonesian bands. The music stage was graced with energetic performances from D'masive, Tipe-X, Kopral Jono, and Gank Smokers. Not only to celebrate LRT's anniversary, this concert was also a place to entertain the public and increase appreciation for the country's music.

Rode Paulus, Head of the South Sumatra Light Railway Management Center, expressed his gratitude to all the people who have fully supported the development of LRT in this region. He also stated, "The 5th LRT Anniversary is a special moment for us because it marks a long journey and dedication in providing modern and comfortable public transportation for the people of South Sumatra. We hope LRT continues to be the first choice in city mobility and contributes positively to regional development."

The 5th LRT Anniversary Celebration is also expected to be able to further introduce the benefits and conveniences offered by South Sumatra LRT in supporting public transportation in the South Sumatra region. So hopefully this celebration can make LRT a new culture in transportation.
