INDONESIAN RAILWAY POLYTECHNIC MADIUN CADETS SHOWCASED THE OUTCOMES OF THEIR FIELDWORK PRACTICE AT THE SOUTH SUMATRA LIGHT RAIL TRANSIT (LRT).

A total of 16 cadets of the Indonesian Railway Polytechnic (PPI) Madiun presented the results of their Field Work Practice (PKL) activities for approximately 4 months at the South Sumatra Light Rail Transit (LRT). The activity which took place on Thursday (27/4) in the Ampera Meeting room of the South Sumatra Light Railway Management Center was attended by the Head of the Facilities and Infrastructure Maintenance and Improvement Section, Mr. Eben Torsa Tongam and representatives from PPI Madiun, Mr. Dadang Sanjaya and Mrs. Titiek Masdini Agustriana.

Details of the 16 PPI Madiun cadets who took part in the PKL at LRT Sumsel are 5 people from the D-III Railway Electrical Technology study program, 5 people from the D-III Railway Mechanics Technology study program, and 8 people from the D-III Railway Transportation Management study program. PKL activities are carried out from January 9 to April 28, 2023.

In their presentation, PPI Madiun cadets conveyed the results of their PKL activities at the South Sumatra LRT. They shared experiences and knowledge gained during their PKL at the company. In addition, the cadets also presented the results of research that had been carried out during the PKL in the fields of railway electrical technology, railway mechanics technology, and railway transportation management.

The Head of Maintenance and Improvement of Facilities and Infrastructure Section, Mr. Eben Torsa Tongam, gave appreciation to the cadets of PPI Madiun for their hard work during the PKL at South Sumatra LRT. He believes that the cadets' newfound expertise and experience will someday be put to use and expanded upon. Mr. Eben also encouraged the cadets to keep studying and developing their abilities in order to become accomplished authorities in the subject of railroads.
