SOUTH SUMATRA LRT AFFECTED BY PLN SUBSTATION FAILURE

PALEMBANG - The South Sumatra LRT experienced travel disruptions at 11.01 WIB from Airport Station to DJKA Station. The South Sumatra Light Railway Management Center (BPKARSS), as the manager of the Light Rail Transit (LRT) of South Sumatra (South Sumatra), will try to ensure that the operation will be restored soon.  BPKARSS head Rode Paulus said the incident occurred because of a transmission failure of the 275 Kv Linggau-Lahat SUTT. As a result, it affects the electricity systems in South Sumatra, Jambi, and Bengkulu. "PLN has also apologized for the inconvenience. PLN is working to get it back to normal," Rode said. With this disruption, he said, it certainly disrupted the mobility of people in the city of Palembang, especially those who ride the LNG.

Meanwhile, passengers who have already purchased tickets can get a refund at the nearest station.  "They can contact the officer directly by showing the ticket that was purchased. Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience," he said yesterday, June 4, 2024.

Rode went directly to the field by monitoring the evacuation conditions. He also monitored the condition of passengers who had arrived at the station. "For the continuity of travel. We are directing the affected passengers to board the feeder so they can continue their activities," he said.
