One of South Sumatra's top publications, Tribun Sumsel, marked its 11th anniversary by organizing special events. On July 10, 2023, at the Ampera LRT Station in Palembang, Tribun Sumsel organized a "Lomba Mewarnai & Donor Darah" event with the topic "1001 New Energy Innovations for the Country from Bumi Sriwijaya" in partnership with the South Sumatra Light Railway Management Center.

The event was attended by 100 participants who were excited to take part in the coloring competition which was held to commemorate the 11th anniversary of Tribun Sumsel.Children from different schools in Palembang who ranged in age from 6 to 12 years old participated in this tournament. They were each given paper and coloring supplies so they could use their imaginations to color the offered drawings.

At the opening of the event, Aditya Yunianto, Section Head of Facilities and Infrastructure Utilization, gave a speech that inspired the participants and appreciated the collaboration between Tribun Sumsel and the South Sumatra Light Railway Management Center in holding this event. He hoped that through this activity, the younger generation could gain knowledge about the importance of new energy and innovation in advancing the country, as well as maintaining environmental sustainability.

After finishing their paintings with enthusiasm, the competition participants were invited to take part in the South Sumatra LRT edutrip activity. They took the train to DKJA Station while learning about the introduction of the South Sumatra LRT. This edutrip activity aims to provide children with an understanding of the benefits and functions of LRT in public transportation, as well as giving them the opportunity to see firsthand the facilities and operational systems of LRT.

During the trip, the participants were given educational material tailored to their age. They were invited to understand the concept of modern public transportation, the benefits of using LRT, the role of LRT in reducing congestion, and the contribution of LRT to environmental preservation.

"We hope that through this activity, the race participants can gain valuable experience and useful knowledge. In addition, we also hope that this activity can encourage interest and awareness of new energy innovations and environmentally friendly transportation among children," said Aditya Yunianto.

The "Lomba Mewarnai & Donor Darah" event in the framework of the 11th Anniversary of Tribun Sumsel is expected to be a historical moment that encourages the spirit of innovation, environmental awareness, and strengthens the relationship between Tribun Sumsel and the people of South Sumatra.
