INVITING GEN Z OF PALEMBANG, MINISTRY OF TRANSPORTATION HELD NATIONAL DIALOGUE

On Saturday (18/3), the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation conducted a national discourse event called "Indonesia Kita" in the Palembang Kertapati Station's waiting room area. As a resource for the occasion, the staff expert in logistics and multimodal transportation for the Republic of Indonesia's Minister of Transportation. Mr. H. Robi Kurniawan SSTP. Msi and Mr. Inspector General of Police (Ret.) Budi Setiadi, who serve as the minister of transportation for the Republic of Indonesia.


Students from high schools and colleges in Palembang City, as well as students from numerous official institutions run by the Ministry of Transportation, participate in this program, which is geared for young millennials. They included Palembang Aeronautical Polytechnic, SDP Transportation Polytechnic, Bina Darma University, SMA N 17, SMA N 3, SMA N10, and SMA Mardiwacana. Additionally, young people from Tarang Karuna Palembang City participated in this activities.


Through this national dialogue, the Ministry of Transportation wants to introduce various official schools in Palembang and also LRT train transportation, which is the first LRT to operate in Indonesia.

The presentation of material about South Sumatra LRT was delivered directly by the Head of the South Sumatra Light Railway Management Center, Mr. Rode Paulus. "As Palembang people, we must be proud because we have the first LRT in Indonesia," said Mr. Rode when delivering his presentation.

In addition, currently South Sumatra LRT has been integrated with various other modes of transportation. Such as bus friends and LRT feeders. As the next generation of the nation, we must be able to bring a new culture in transportation.
This activity is expected to increase public understanding and awareness of the great benefits of mass public transportation. Using public transportation can not only break down congestion, but can improve the sustainable transportation system.
A sustainable public transportation system can make a positive contribution to the economic, socio-cultural, and environmental life of the communities it serves.
