BTP KELAS I MEDAN CARRIED OUT A JOINT INSPECTION OF THE CONDITION OF THE KRUENG MANE BRIDGE

MEDAN - BTP Kelas I Medan team has carried out a Joint Inspection (joint inspection) of the condition of the Krueng Mane Bridge, Ie Rhob KM River. 2+0/1 between Krueng Mane-Geurugok, Muara Batu District, Bireun Regency, North Aceh, Thursday (25/01).

This joint inspection activity involved the Head of the BTP Kelas I Medan Capt. Aditya Karya, S.ST., M.M.Tr, representative of the Directorate of Railway Infrastructure, representative of PT. KAI Divre I North Sumatra and Aceh, as well as representatives of the KGP-1 contractor (PT Agung Kusuma Jaya, KSO).

Join Inspection refers to the legal basis, namely Law Number 23 of 2007 Article 68 concerning Railways, to ensure the suitability of railway infrastructure, testing and inspection must be carried out.

Apart from that, this activity refers to the Minister of Transportation Regulation number 60 of 2012 concerning Technical Requirements for Railway Tracks and the Instruction of the Minister of Transportation Number 2 of 2007 concerning Increasing the Safety of Train Operations.

In this agenda, inspections were carried out covering the substructure and superstructure of the Krueng Mane bridge, the rails, and the water flow retaining wall (Talud).

It is known that there are parts of the bridge that must be repaired immediately, but according to the results of visual and technical inspections, the condition of the bridge (abutments, base of pillars) is in a safe condition.

From the results of the activities, abutment protection has been carried out on the bridge and sand bag work is underway.

Then the bridge will be installed with a speed limit of 10 km/hour after the 3 motto is removed so that monitoring will be carried out periodically to ensure trains can pass without obstacles. (AI/ARH/MAD/RZ)
