The Director of Railway Traffic and Transportation Attends the Launching of the South Sulawesi Intermodal Integration Trial

Makassar (Monday, 6/2), the Director of Railway Traffic and Transportation representing the Director General of Railways attended an invitation from the South Sulawesi Provincial Government to launch the Intermodal Integration Trial for the South Sulawesi region.
The event was of course attended by Aslam Patonangi as the Acting Regional Secretary representing the Governor of South Sulawesi, then the Director of Road Transport for the Ministry of Transportation, the South Sulawesi Regional Police Traffic Directorate, Head of the South Sulawesi Transportation Service, Heads of Regency and City Transportation Services, Academics, Representatives of Business Entities, and Transportation Organizations.

The Launching Event was held at Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport, Makassar. The activity was opened by Mr. Aslam Patonangi, as Regional Secretary representing the Governor of South Sulawesi.

In this activity, M. Iqbal Saleh as Person in Charge of Jasa Raharja in Kab. Maros was present representing the Head of PT Jasa Raharja South Sulawesi Branch. In supporting the success of the South Sulawesi Intermodal Integration program, Jasa Raharja as a state-owned enterprise through the Compulsory Fee will protect all users of existing modes of transportation in South Sulawesi, as stated in Article 3 paragraph (1) letter a Law No.33/1964 in conjunction with article 2 paragraph (1) PP No.17/1965. On a different occasion, Hendriawanto as Head of the South Sulawesi Branch of PT Jasa Raharja said that Jasa Raharja would continue to collaborate with all relevant stakeholders to realize the sustainability of the digitally integrated transportation program.

Integration of South Sulawesi Transportation Modes, this is presented in order to provide maximum service to the community, and facilitate accessibility, especially to tourist attractions. Arunddini, Head of the Traffic Sector at the South Sulawesi Transportation Agency, explained that the integration of these modes of transportation will connect airports, train stations and also a number of tourist destinations. He mentioned, later to use the community can go to the Bus Stop Stop which is placed at Hasanuddin Airport, then proceed to the Maros Depo Station. This route is the Friends Bus route from the airport to Panakukan Mall.

As well as explained by Mr. Arunddini that from the Maros Depo Station, go to the Rammang-Rammang train station and then later, switch modes again towards the tourist feeder which connects tourist spots, Rammang-Rammang, Leang-leang and Bantimurung archaeological spots. So that the buses that we place have followed the train schedule, arrivals and departures at the Rammang-Rammang station. Furthermore, he stated that there were around 4 Dishub Buses that would be used to operate, until there was integration of tariffs, and their management to Business Entities, or the possibility of handing them over to the consortium later, Mr. Arrundini said that this Consortium, which would later be assigned by the South Sulawesi Provincial Government, and all according to the direction of the Governor.

Meanwhile, for readiness such as parking, Arunddini said that he had coordinated with the Maros Transportation Agency, if in Rammang-Rammang there is a parking area, in front of the Archaeological Park, Leang-leang as well as at the Danau Rammang River Stop there is a parking area, then at the Halter at Rammang-rammang Station.
