The 2023 Lebaran Motis Transport Program Starts the registration on the 1st of March 2023

Jakarta (20/2) The Directorate General of Railways recently hosted an informal discussion on "Manggarai Station Development and the 2023 MOTIS Program". The event was attended by several officials, including the Director General of Railways, Minister of Transportation's Staff Secretary Mrs. Adita Irawati, Director of Railway Traffic and Transportation, Director of Railway Infrastructure, Head of BTP Jakarta, and the President Director of PT KCI. The gathering was witnessed by members of the press and train enthusiasts/railfans communities.

During the presentation, Djarot Tri Wardhono, the Director of Railway Traffic and Transportation, announced that registration for the 2023 Lebaran MOTIS Transportation will commence on 1 March 2023. He emphasized that the primary aim of the program is to provide a safe alternative to long-distance motorcycle travel for the community. "The implementation of the 2023 MOTIS Transport program is aimed at preventing accidents involving long-distance two-wheeled travel," Djarot said.

Djarot Tri W., the Director of Railway Traffic and Transportation, acknowledged that last year's MOTIS program had a smaller number of participants due to the limited registration time caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. "Last year's program had a smaller turnout because of the limited registration period," Djarot said. The Lebaran MOTIS Transport Program has been held since 2013, and from 2016 to 2019, the number of participants has steadily increased.

In 2016, the program saw 11,000 motorcycles, followed by 15,000 in 2017, 17,000 in 2018, and 19,000 motorcycles in 2019. For the 2023 program, the target is to transport more than 10,000 motorcycles to their destinations and the same number for the return transportation.
