RAILWAY SAFETY HEROES RECEIVE HIGH APPRECIATION

Blora (10/10) The Directorate General of Railways and the Railway Engineering Centre Class I Semarang paid tribute to Mr Sarmo and Mr Jamin, two residents of Pengkoljagong village, Jati district, Blora regency. Both showed heroic actions by quickly reporting the damage to the railway tracks at KM 57+1, the road section between Doplang and Randublatung stations.

Bapak Sarmo and Bapak Jamin's prompt action in alerting the passing train driver averted a potentially disastrous accident. Their courage and concern for each other's safety should be an example to us all.

“We greatly appreciate Bapak Sarmo and Bapak Jamin's prompt and timely actions," said Yuwono Wiarco, Plt. Director of Railway Safety. Their actions prove that public awareness is very important in maintaining railway safety.

 

An example to the community

The heroic actions of these two Blora residents are clear evidence that railway safety is a shared responsibility, according to their respective abilities. By reporting any potential hazards they found around the railway, they have helped to ensure a comfortable and safe journey. In recognition of their efforts, the Directorate General of Railways and the Railway Engineering Centre Class I Semarang presented Bapak Sarmo and Bapak Jamin with a special award. This recognition is expected to motivate other communities to take an active role in maintaining mutual safety on railway lines.
