Based on Law No. 25/2004 concerning the National Development Planning System and Presidential Regulation No. 18 of 2020 regarding the National Medium-Term Development Plan 2020-2024, this Strategic Plan (Renstra) for Railway Infrastructure for 2020-2024 has been prepared. It serves as a planning document for the Echelon II Work Unit of the Directorate of Railway Infrastructure for a period of five years.

The Railway Infrastructure Strategic Plan 2020-2024 outlines goals, objectives, strategies, policies, programs, and development activities developed in accordance with the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) 2020-2024 and the Directorate of Railway Infrastructure Strategic Plan 2015-2019.

With the establishment of this Railway Infrastructure Strategic Plan 2020-2024, it will serve as a reference for program development within the Directorate of Railway Infrastructure and for Work Plans and Budgets until 2024.

Through efforts to articulate and translate all mandates within this Railway Infrastructure Strategic Plan 2020-2024 into program objectives and performance targets for the next five years, the Directorate of Railway Infrastructure is expected to contribute to the success of the national development vision of creating a sovereign, independent Indonesia with a personality rooted in mutual cooperation.
