BANDUNG - On Monday, 9 January 2023, the Bandung City Government granted property to the Directorate General of Railways in order to reduce the number of level crossings in the Padalarang-Bandung Infrastructure Development National Strategic Project (PSN). The Regional Land Grant Agreement Manuscript was signed in the Central Room of Bandung City Hall, and this finalized the handover of the land grant. The Acting Secretary General of Railways, Yennesi Rosita, carried out the signing in the presence of Yana Mulyana, the Mayor of Bandung, and the Director of the Bandung Class I Railway Engineering Center.

 "The value of the benefits we receive as beneficiaries for the City of Bandung will undoubtedly be far greater than the value we grant, of course, the construction of this level crossing will benefit the city government and the residents of Bandung," stated Yana.

Yana is hoping that by managing this level crossing, she will be able to reduce traffic jams and accidents in Bandung as well as the increase in traffic that has resulted from the operation of the Jakarta Bandung Fast Train from Padalarang to Kebon Kawung.

On the same occasion, Yennesi said that there are three main things that need to be observed in the grant script, "The first is in our regulation, the Railway Law mandates that there are no more level crossings, so whatever it is, if there are level crossings, they should be reduced and if we are going to build new ones, we will build flyovers or underpasses which we will coordinate with the local government," said Yennesi.

Regarding the second main point, Yennesi conveyed about intermodal integration which will later be connected with a fast train feeder from Padalarang to the city center and for the third point, Yennesi talked about the transfer of land grants from the city government to the center.
Yennesi also gave his appreciation to the Bandung City Government regarding the land that was granted, "We express our appreciation to the Bandung City Government for making it easy for us to obtain land in the context of flyover construction," he said.

The Bandung City Government provided a Land Grant to the Directorate General of Railways covering an area of 5.058 square meters with a total of 124 fields in the Ciroyom Area which will later be built fly over or underpass to reduce level crossings in Bandung City.
