BOGOR - The construction of the Bogor - Sukabumi double track railway for the Bogor Paledang - Cicurug segment is currently approaching the stage of infrastructure testing and test commissioning for operating facilities.

The activity will take place from 8 March to 11 March 2022 with the Railway Testing Center and the Directorate of Railway Infrastructure, DJKA.

Head of the Class 1 Railway Engineering Center for West Java Region (BTP JABAR) Erni Basri said, "Before the operation of the train line, there are various stages of testing that must be passed."

"Hence, we are currently approaching the stage of testing infrastructure, namely testing for lines and buildings. This is done to ensure the safety and comfort of train users," continued Erni.

Erni said "The operation plan for the Pangrango train is still being prepared by the operator (PT. KAI). We hope that the Bogor - Sukabumi line will be able to operate again so that it can serve passengers from Bogor to Sukabumi. God willing, the plan on 28 March 2022 will start operation for the single track first. After that, the double track operation will be followed by the end of April 2022," he explained.
