BTP Jakarta Distributes Community Costs for Controlling Land Impact of Development of St. Rangkasbitung (Reactivation of the Rangkasbitung-Labuan Railway Segment 1)

Rangkasbitung, 1 December 2023 – Jakarta Class I Railway Engineering Center and the local government together with the residents of RT 01-02/RW 11, Kampung Leuijamang, Muara Ciujung Barat Subdistrict, Rangkasbitung, Lebak, have taken important steps in handling the submission of spiritual costs related to land control . This action was taken as part of support for the construction and development of Rangkasbitung Station related to the reactivation of the Rangkasbitung-Labuan Segment 1 Railway Line.


This land control is a strategic step to respond to the increasing infrastructure needs in the area. The construction of Rangkasbitung Station is considered a vital project that will have a positive impact in improving transportation connectivity and supporting economic growth in Lebak.


Previously, the land control process was carried out collaboratively between the Jakarta Class I Railway Engineering Center, the local government and residents. BTP Jakarta and the local government have held an open dialogue with local residents to explain the purpose of this land control and provide an understanding of the long-term benefits that will be felt by the local community with the revitalization of Rangkasbitung Ultimate Station later.


The handling of the delivery of spiritual costs was initiated to ensure that affected residents received fair compensation and in accordance with applicable regulations. BTP Jakarta together with the regional government are committed to ensuring that this process is transparent and accountable, by involving BRI representatives from the Rangkasbitung branch and affected residents in handing over funds.


In his speech, the Head of the Jakarta Class I Railway Engineering Center said "we from BTP Jakarta would like to symbolically provide spiritual support for land control for the residents of RT 01 and 02 RW 011 who are affected by the construction and expansion of Rangkasbitung Station into the Rangkasbitung Ultimate station. Before reaching this stage, we have gone through several stages in accordance with the provisions of Presidential Decree Number 62 of 2018 and technical instructions of ATR Ministerial Regulation Number 6 of 2020. Starting from the planning stage, the data collection stage, the assessment stage, and currently we are in the stage of providing compensation to the 22 residents who affected." Said Lukman Al-Amin


Furthermore, Lukman Al-Amin said, "previously in 2022 we carried out land acquisition in the Muara Ciujung Timur sub-district in 39 areas and the stages carried out went smoothly. "In the future, we will continue the land control work on the Rangkasbitung Labuan Reactivation route, the process and stages of which are already underway," he said.


With these proactive steps, it is hoped that the construction of the Rangkasbitung Ultimate Station related to the Reactivation of the Rangkasbitung-Labuan Segment 1 Railway Line can take place without significant obstacles and the local community can experience the positive benefits. The Jakarta Class I Railway Engineering Center hopes that this project will not only improve accessibility and mobility, but also contribute to improving the economy and welfare of the Lebak community as a whole.
