Improving the Quality of Human Resources, Directorate General of Railways Provides Technical Guidance for Railway Crossing Guards in the North Sumatra Region

MEDAN - The Directorate General of Railways, through the Directorate of Railway Safety, has carried out Technical Guidance activities for Refreshing Human Resources for Railway Crossing Guards in the North Sumatra Province Region which took place in the Meeting Room, Floor II of the North Sumatra Province Transportation Service Office, Tuesday (5/3).

 

The event was opened by the Head of the North Sumatra Province Transportation Service, Mr. Dr. Agustinus Panjaitan, S.SiT., MT. and Speech from the Directorate of Railway Safety represented by Mrs. Sofia Aviantie, S.E., M.M. as Head of the Sub-directorate of Human Resources Certification and Institutional Accreditation, and attended by the Medan Class I Railway Engineering Center represented by the Head of the Railway Facilities and Safety Section, Representatives of resource persons from PDTI-STTD, Representatives of PT. KAI Divre 1 North Sumatra, as well as Technical Guidance Participants, Railway Crossing Guards who were attended by representatives of the District Transportation Agency. Deli Serdang, Dishub Kab. Serdang Bedagai and Dishub Kab. Batu Bara.

 

In this activity, participants were provided with various materials, namely legal aspects of railroad crossings, train mottos and road traffic signs, emergency conditions, duties and authority of railroad crossing guards, train travel and field practice simulations.

 

From the implementation of this Technical Guidance, it is hoped that it can provide refreshment to the human resources of Railway Crossing Guards, as well as improve the quality of Railway Human Resources so that they can continue to maintain crossings safely and still prioritize safety factors.
