President Jokowi Tried Jabodebek LRT Before the Commercial Operation, President Jokowi Tried Jabodebek LRT Again

Jakarta (3/8) - President Jokowi once again tried the Jabodebek LRT from Harjamukti Station, Depok to Dukuh Atas Station before it is officially operated as commercial. The President advised that safety is a top priority before the Jabodebek LRT officially operates.

The President arrived at Harjamukti Station at 08.18 WIB and rode the Jabodebek LRT to Dukuh Atas Station. Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, Minister of State-owned Enterprises Erick Tohir, Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil and Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono accompanied the President.

The routes traveled in the review included Harjamukti Station, Ciracas Station, Kampung Rambutan Station, TMII Station, Cawang Station, Ciliwung Station, Cikoko Station, Pancoran Station, Kuningan Station, Rasuna Said Station, and ended at Dukuh Atas Station.

For information, Jabodebek LRT is the first train to use Grade of Automation (GoA) level 3 technology which allows trains to run without a driver.

Previously, on Tuesday (1/8), the Minister of Transportation and his staff also reviewed the preparation for the Jabodebek LRT operation. The Minister of Transportation departed from Dukuh Atas Station to Harjamukti Station, and returned to Dukuh Atas Station after ensuring that infrastructure at stations such as elevators, escalators and stairs were functioning properly.
