Social Concern, Baperka Operates Excavator Facilities

The Railway Maintenance Center carries out social activities through assistance in digging village drainage canals in Ngrombo Hamlet, Depok Village, Toroh District, Grobogan Regency, Tuesday (4/7/2023).

This activity is one of the real manifestations of the concern of the Railway Maintenance Center, in providing contributions and benefits to the nearest community (Ring 1) in the Ngrombo Workshop area, Railway Maintenance Center.

The implementation of the excavation work for the construction of drainage channels in Ngrombo Hamlet is the result of communication that has been carried out by the Ngrombo Hamlet through the Ngrombo Hamlet Head and the Railway Maintenance Center team.

Prior to the excavation of the drainage canal, the Railway Maintenance Office Team first surveyed the location where the excavation would be carried out. The team is looking to see if the path to the location can be passed by special equipment, considering that the excavation will be carried out using a Geismar Excavator which has wide and high dimensions.

Of course, road conditions must be ensured to be safe for the Geismar Excavator facility to ensure safety before and during and after the activity takes place.

Before leaving for the excavation site, the team checked the function of the Geismar Excavator facility according to the specified SOP, to ensure the reliability of the facility and ensure that the facility is Ready for Operation (SO).

The Geismar Excavator Facility then departed from the Railway Maintenance Center Facilities Warehouse with a number of escorts from the Railway Maintenance Office team to the drainage canal excavation site.

This social activity was carried out by the Railway Maintenance Center Team together with the residents of Ngrombo Hamlet.

The excavation of the village drainage channel used the Geismar Excavator with the serial number SK 3 14 01. The process of digging the drainage channel was carried out in the rice field area and in front of the residents of Ngrombo Hamlet along ± 45 meters long and ± 2 meters wide using the Geismar Excavator facility.

During the coverage in the field, the series of drainage excavation work also included the removal of the culvert component first to widen the drainage path.

Excavation of the drainage channel runs smoothly and safely, during the work. This social activity was successfully carried out in approximately eight hours, from morning to evening with breaks during the afternoon.

After the excavation of the drainage channel is completed, the Geismar Excavator facilities are reported back to the Warehouse of the Railway Maintenance Office with escorts in good condition and still Ready for Operation. (yogo)
