DOUBLE-TRACK RAILWAY BOGOR SUKABUMI UNDERTAKE COMMISSIONING TEST BEFORE TESTING

BOGOR (09/03) - In preparation for the operation of the Bogor – Sukabumi double-track railway Bogor Paledang – Cicurug segment, the Railway Testing Center, together with the Directorate of Railway Infrastructure of the Directorate General of Railways, the Class I Railway Engineering Center for the West Java Region, PT. KAI (Persero) Daop 1 Jakarta, Head office of PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), Supervision Consultants, and Industrial Contractors carry out Test Commissioning activities.

Director of Technology and Operations of PT Len Railway Systems Rustandi said, "Signal Commissioning Tests are carried out to test the functions that have been made previously, so here the testing is more integrated if previously we individually checked the installations or individual functions, during Test Commissioning, we carried out integration tests for all the functions in this signaling."

Furthermore, Rustandi explained that Test Commissioning is a series of stages after the construction stage is completed. The next stage is the First Test where theSwitch Over is carried out for the system which is done in an integrated manner. "If we trace from the beginning, Test Commissioning starts with a concept, in that concept, there are details, design details, to the construction stage, each one between the first, and the next stage is Verification," said Rustandi explaining the Test Commissioning stages.

 In this Test Commissioning, three tests were carried out that were tailored to the work that had been carried out, namely, the Indoor Equipment Test, which included the Interlocking Table Test, Route Conflict Test, Telecommunication Device Test, Data Logger & Voice Logger Test; Fire Alarm Test and Power Supply Test.

In addition to the indoor tests, outdoor tests were also carried out: Checking & Measurement, Grounding Equipment Room, Signal and Axle Counters, Signal Correspondence Tests & Axle Counters, Pile Tests for Turnout, Opening Point-Switch of Turnout and Point Machines.


 In addition, testing of the Direct Crossing Line (JPL) also consists of Test the opening and closing of the crossing gate using the main and backup power supply, Checking the telephone block, Testing the Gentanik and direction of the train arrival arrow, and Testing the function of the ACK button.
