BTP Padang Works with Media to Provide Accurate Information

Padang - Padang Class II Railway Engineering Centre has always been committed to developing the railway in West Sumatra. From building solid infrastructure, improving safety, revitalising several stations, and other development plans to provide the best service to the people of West Sumatra.

Of course, with all the efforts that have been made, the role of relevant stakeholders is no less important in the progress of railway infrastructure. This includes the media, which also plays an important role in the improvement of the infrastructure through accurate reporting to the wider community.

For this, we must always maintain good relations and cooperation with the media so that the information is well disseminated, including raising awareness of the benefits of railways while taking into account all the aspirations of the community," said BTP Head Padang Endang Setiawan in his statement.

In addition, he said, BTP Padang's public relations activities, namely Balai Bicara, which invites both online and print media crews, are expected to build public trust in the government, which is important for social stability.

We need to have a good relationship with the media so that we can better identify issues of concern to the community and provide constructive feedback. Especially now that online media are able to disseminate news quickly, so that information can reach the public quickly and accurately,' he continued.

Through the Balai Bicara activity, which has been conducted twice by BTP Padang, Kabalai hopes that BTP Padang, in particular, can build a mutually beneficial relationship between the government, which performs its duties and functions optimally, and the media, which can work together to create a more informed and actively involved society.

The event was also attended by PT KAI (Persero) West Sumatra Regional Division II Head Sofan Hidayah as the second speaker, West Sumatra Transportation Agency Head represented by Railway Transport and Development Division Head Momon, West Sumatra Class II Land Transport Management Centre Head Muhammad Majid and West Sumatra Regional Railway Lovers Community Head Afidal as the response team.
