Minangkabau Ekspres, A Popular Transportation to the Airport

Padang—The Minangkabau Ekspres train, which runs from Padang Railway Station (Simpang Haru, Padang City) to Minangkabau International Airport Station (BIM Station), Padang Pariaman Regency, is becoming increasingly popular among people travelling by air from Minangkabau International Airport.

One of the passengers, Reni (23), said that this was her first time using the train to the airport. She mentioned that using the "Si Hijau" train, which is no longer a pioneer service but now a public service obligation (PSO), was very convenient.

"I used to take online taxis when I needed to go to the airport, and the cost was quite expensive, especially during rush hours when prices skyrocketed. Not to mention the traffic jams, which meant I had to leave early to avoid being late for my flight. But with Mineks, I only have to pay Rp 10,000 and I can get to the airport safely and comfortably," she said.

On another occasion, another passenger, Zahra, shared a similar sentiment about the comfort and safety of using Mineks. "This is my second time travelling to the airport by train. This time I'm with my younger brother and my mother. The first time I travelled alone and I felt that taking the train was more comfortable and safer, especially since I often travel to other cities alone," said Zahra.

She added that she plans to use Mineks to the airport more often in the future as her father lives in Bali, which would mean more trips to the airport.

"Besides, the ticket costs only Rp 10.000, the train is clean, and it gets to the airport quickly. Of course I will use Mineks again," she said.

"This is my first time using Mineks and alhamdulillah, it was a pleasant journey with a good impression," said Kalisa Zahara, a student from Malaysia.
