Padang Panjang Satpel Discovers Asset Stealing Incident in Kubukrambil

Padang: The Padang Panjang Service Unit (Satpel) of the Railway Engineering Center (BTP) Class II Padang has discovered more instances of asset stealing. This time, the cases are related to Kubukrambil Station, an inactive class III / minor rail station situated in Batipuah Baruah, Tanah Datar, West Sumatra (Sumbar).

During that period, the Padang Panjang Satpel conducted routine monitoring and discovered that missing tethers, connection plates, and rails measuring approximately six meters in length with three bars and 2,5 meters in length with four bars were discovered during field reviews. This was also carried out in response to media reports on the stealing case.

Previous reports of the stealing were sent to BTP Padang by locals who were aware of the incident via the West Sumatra railroad enthusiasts' social media accounts. BTP Padang promptly carried out a field review in response to the report to determine the total amount of state losses.

The head of BTP Padang, Endang Kurniawan, called on the people to work together to combat the dishonorable conduct of stealing state assets from this dormant line by reporting any such incidents to BTP Padang via various media outlets.
