LRT JABODEBEK HAS OFFICIALLY OPERATED

“Seperti halnya MRT Subway, infrastruktur transportasi massal terbaru, LRT Jabodebek, merupakan upaya kami membangun konektivitas dan peradaban baru, serta landasan kokoh menuju Indonesia yang lebih maju.”

-Presiden Republik Indonesia, Joko Widodo-

To create mass transit that is integrated with other forms of public transportation, the LRT Jabodebek was constructed. In Jakarta, MRT Jakarta, LRT Jakarta, TransJakarta Buses, and KRL have been built so that residents around Bedebek can travel to Jakarta efficiently.

To make it more comfortable, here are 5 tips for traveling with the Jabodebek LRT:

     1.  Ensure Sufficient Balance

You can use a multi-trip card (KMT) or and electronic money card from a bank (emoney, flazz, brizzi, and tapcash) to ride the LRT. But you must have enough money on the card to cover your fare. The LRT will maintain a promotional fare of IDR 5.000 to all locations till September 30, 2023. You can use the vending machine facility or the station counter to add money to your KMT card balance.

     2.  Choose the Destination

Make sure to choose the LRT route heading toward Bekasi if you want to get from Dukuh Atas Station to Halim Station. From the destination station, you can use feeder services to continue traveling to the surrounding area. Each LRT station has a map of the Jabodetabek Urban Railway Network that may be used to find this information. Don’t forget to read the signage that has been put up at each station as well.

     3.  Queuing Culture

When boarding the LRT train, be mindful of the yellow lines and arrows on the platform and make way for passengers exiting at the blue arrows.

    4.  Sit or Stand

You are welcome to sit in the designated area, but make it a point to offer chairs to those who are more in need of them. Alternatively, you can grab the handle and stand anywhere. Prioritize giving people room where there is a wheelchair sticker when you are standing.

When you are going to get off, position yourself near the train door because the duration of the door opening is around 15 – 20 seconds.

     5.  Follow the Rule

The rules posted on the platform or within the LRT train must be observed. These regulations take the shape of appeals and prohibitions, such as no eating or drinking, no littering, no pets allowed, and no sharp-smelling objects. Other restrictions include those on selling, busking, carrying weapons of any kind, and transporting combustible items. Additionally prohibited are sitting on the train floor and leaning on the doors.
