The Directorate of Railways Rolling Stock has carried out supervision of the place for maintenance of the Jakarta LRT facilities, namely the Jakarta LRT Depot located in Pegangsaan Dua on 12 to 13 August 2021. In carrying out this activity an assessment of the maintenance site was also carried out for compliance with the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation number PM 18 of 2019 concerning Standards Places and Equipment for Maintenance of Railway Facilities.

This assessment activity is carried out in the context of issuing a decision letter from the Director General of Railways regarding the approval of the operation of the railway facility maintenance facility. The Jakarta LRT depot, which is located next to the Pegangsaan Dua Station, is capable of maintaining the Jakarta LRT facilities for up to 98 trainsets. At this depot, the Jakarta LRT facility carries out maintenance, namely periodic maintenance and repair maintenance. The periodic maintenance of the Jakarta LRT itself is divided into daily, monthly, annual, 4-year (SPA) and 8-year (overhaul) inspections and maintenance. Daily, monthly and yearly maintenance is also called light maintenance, while 4 year and 8 year maintenance is also called heavy maintenance. The depot which consists of 2 floors is incorporated in the OCC area and the main building of PT LRT Jakarta. Light maintenance and heavy maintenance are on the ground floor, while the 1st floor is used for stabling LRT facilities. No half-hearted for the stabling area consisting of 11 stabling lanes where each lane can accommodate 6 LRT trainsets.

For the implementation of maintenance, the Jakarta LRT depot has calibrated equipment maintenance facilities, certified human resources for inspectors and maintenance personnel and also has systems and procedures for inspection and maintenance of LRT facilities that have been approved by the Director General of Railways in accordance with the manufacturers of Jakarta LRT facilities.
