Grobogan – Friday (15/7/2022) towards the afternoon, ASN Railway Maintenance Center (Baperka) got a rare opportunity, because the highest leadership in the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) of the Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia visited directly. Arriving at Baperka's yard, Mr. Zulfikri stepped quickly, got off the vehicle he was traveling in, entered the Baperka office building with pride in seeing the achievements that have been made in the field of railway maintenance.

The Director General of Railways asked all ASN Baperka to gather in the hall. He wants to transmit the work spirit, especially for young ASN, so that in the future the leadership baton in the railway sub-sector can be continued in the right direction.

“Devotion is our main key as ASN. The provision of service in the government is integrity, the Minister of Transportation already believes in DJKA, let's maintain that trust by maintaining integrity within the Directorate General of Railways, "explained Zulfikri when giving motivation in front of the ASN of the Railway Maintenance Center.

According to the reporter's observations during the event, there were at least three main points conveyed by the Director General of Railways. In addition to integrity, there is also the motivation that ASN must have to continue to improve competence, either through formal education or other channels. The third is about the synergy that must be built properly between DJKA as a regulator and railway operators, one of which is PT KAI (Persero).

These three components are provisions for railway personnel to continue to build and develop national railways.

"With the spirit of JPI, Glory to Indonesian Railways, we build a railway for the community, I don't think people are said to be advanced if they haven't used the rail transportation mode. Trains are the showcase of our country, wherever developed countries must have a rail transportation system, the first thing people see is the country's rail facilities,” said the Director General of Railways, reminding the importance of rail transportation modes for a country and in the context of service to the community.

Still in the messages conveyed by Mr. Zulfikri, according to him the presence of the Railway Maintenance Center is one of the important tools in the railway sector.

The existence of the Railway Maintenance Center was his dream and hope when he first served at the Directorate General of Railways which has now come true. There is a big mission behind the formation of the Railway Maintenance Center. The railway maintenance system must be built optimally. Because safety is paramount in the transportation sector. So the railway maintenance system must be able to become part of and answer the need to support safety in the rail transportation sub-sector. (yogo)
