RAILWAYS ENGINEERING OFFICE FOR WEST SUMATRA REGION

The Railways Engineering Office for the West Sumatra Region has the task of carrying out improvement and supervision of infrastructure, as well as supervision of the implementation of facilities, traffic, transportation, and railways safety.

In carrying out its duties, Railways Engineering Office for  West Sumatra Region carries out the following functions:

1. Implementation of the improvement of railways infrastructure;
2. Implementation of supervision of the implementation of railways infrastructure;
3. Implementation of supervision of the implementation of facilities, traffic, and rail transportation;
4. Implementation of traffic safety supervision and rail transportation;
5. Implementation of monitoring the feasibility of railways infrastructure and facilities;
6. Implementation of prevention and prosecution of violations of laws and regulations in the railway sector;
7. Implementation of accident analysis and handling in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations; and
8. Management of administrative, internal affairs, personnel, finance, legal, and public relations affairs.

The Railways Engineering Office for the West Sumatra Region consists of:

1. Administration Subdivision;
2. Railways Infrastructure Section;
3. Traffic Section, Railways Facilities and Safety.
