DIRECTORATE OF RAILWAYS SAFETY

The Directorate of Railways Safety is responsible for formulating and implementing policies, developing norms, standards, procedures, and criteria, providing technical guidance and supervision, and analyzing and reporting on railway safety issues.

The Directorate of Railways Safety performs the following tasks as part of its responsibilities:

  1. Preparation of policy formulation in the field of engineering and enhancement of railway safety, as well as safety audit and inspection, accident inspection and analysis, human resource certification and institutional accreditation, and violation prevention and law enforcement;
  2. Preparing policies for implementation in the field of engineering and enhancing railway safety, as well as conducting safety audits and inspections, accident investigation and analysis, human resource certification and institutional accreditation, and law enforcement;
  3. Preparation of standards, norms, methods, and criteria in the fields of engineering and railway safety improvement, audit and safety inspection, accident inspection and analysis, human resource certification, and institutional accreditation, as well as violation prevention and law enforcement;
  4. Preparation of technical guidance and supervision in the field of engineering and enhancing railway safety, as well as safety audit and inspection, accident inspection and analysis, human resource certification and institutional accreditation, and violation prevention and law enforcement;
  5. Preparation of evaluations and reports in the fields of engineering and railway safety improvement, audit and safety inspection, accident inspection and analysis, human resource certification and institutional accreditation, as well as violation prevention and law enforcement; and
  6. Preparation of administrative affairs, finance, personnel, information and communication technology management, and household Directorate implementation

Directorate of Railways Safety is made up of the following individuals:

  1. Sub-directorate of Engineering and Safety Improvement;
  2. Sub-directorate of Audit and Safety Inspection;
  3. Sub-directorate of Accident Inspection and Analysis;
  4. Sub-directorate of Human Resources Certification and Institutional Accreditation;
  5. Sub-directorate of Prevention and Law Enforcement; and
  6. Sub-division of Administration.
