RAILWAYS ENGINEERING OFFICE CLASS 1 JAKARTA AND BANTEN REGION

Railways Engineering Office Class 1 for Jakarta and Banten Region, which was established/ratified in December 2014 in accordance with PM. 63 of 2014, is moving quickly in response to the dynamics that have emerged as well as strategic steps that are being implemented, socializing the roles and functions of the TPWJB Center to stakeholders and partners. The mid-term master plan for railway development (2015-2019) served as the driving force in developing the new mindset.

The milestone was commemorated on 4 March 2015, with ceremonial meal and prayers at the inauguration of the Operational Office of the Railways Engineering Office Class 1 Jakarta and Banten Region by the Director-General of Railways, Ministry of Transportation, Hermanto Dwiatmoko, who was joined by the Directors and Secretary-General of Railways, as well as The Greater  Jakarta PPK, Double-Double Track PPK and Tanah Abang-Serpong-Maja-Merak PPK.

Railways Engineering Office Class 1 for Jakarta and Banten Region is in charge of improving and supervising infrastructure, as well as supervising the implementation of facilities, traffic, transportation, and railways safety.

Railways Engineering Office Class 1 for Jakarta and Banten Region performs the following functions in carrying out its duties:

  1. Implementation of railway infrastructure improvement;
  2. Implementation of supervision of railways infrastructure implementation;
  3. Implementation of supervision of facility, traffic, and rail transportation implementation;
  4. Implementation of traffic safety and rail transportation;
  5. Monitoring the feasibility of railway infrastructure and facilities is being implemented.
  6. Implementation of measures to prevent and prosecute violations of laws and regulations in the railway industry;
  7. Implementation of accident analysis and response in accordance with applicable laws and regulations; and
  8. Administration, household, staffing, financial, legal, and public relations affairs


Railways Engineering Office Class 1 for Jakarta and Banten Region, which includes:

  1. Railways Infrastructure Sections; 
  2. Traffic, Facilities, and Railways Safety Sections; and
  3. Administration Subdivison.
