BANDUNG (26/03/21) The National Development Planning Agency (BAPPENAS) Directorate of Transportation reviewed landslide-prone areas, Box Culvert 433 and railway lines located between Lampegan Station - Cibeber Station, Cianjur West Java accompanied by the Planning Coordinator of the Directorate General of Railways, Head of Infrastructure Section of West Java Regional Railway Engineering Center and The PPK Work Unit Team of Railway Development across Bogor - Sukabumi - Padalarang. From the results of monitoring the condition of concrete retaining the bridge is seen to experience a shift due to the heavy river currents and the load of trains passing every day. In addition, the situation around the path in the form of cliffs that are used as plantations by residents makes the area as an area prone to landslides because of the loose soil conditions and easily eroded in the event of heavy rains. The review was also conducted by walking down the 1.2km railway line to see the damaged railway line. But because the railway line is a relic of the Dutch era so that the condition of the railway line is less stable when traversed by trains. The Transportation Directorate Team requested that improvements that are the main priority to be immediately carried out one of the bridges on BH 344 and the railway line that still uses the R33 rail to be immediately increased to the R54 rail. The construction of the railway double line between Bogor - Sukabumi is also a concern, the team continues the review to Sukabumi Station which will soon be carried out to increase emplasemen and stations to support the operation of the double rail line between Bogor - Sukabumi. It is expected that the construction of a dual railway line can be done soon so that the mobility of the community as a railway user can be facilitated properly.
