BEKASI (29/4)- The Facility Testing Team of the Railways Testing Office continues to carry out periodic tests on Railway Facilities whose Periodic Test Certificate validity period has expired. In accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation PM No. 17 of 2011 concerning Standards, Procedures for Testing and Certification of Trainworthiness.

Last week (20/04) to (23/04) the Railways Facilities Testing Team had completed carrying out the Periodic Test on a total of 117 carriages with details of 5 flat carriages and 112 open carriages.

A wagon is an immovable Railway Facility that is operated for the transportation of goods or animals.

Implementation of Periodic Test includes Static Test and Dynamic Test. Static testing was carried out at the Rejosari Cargo Depot with the following test items:

1. Dimension Testing;
2. Facility Boundary Space Testing;
3. Weight Testing;
4. Braking Testing;
5. Crack Testing; and
6. Load Testing.

As for the Dynamic Test items carried out across the Rejosari to Rengas Depots, they are:

1. Braking Testing;
2. Temperature Testing;
3. Vibration Testing; and
4. Load Testing.

During the test, the entire team adhered to the applicable health protocols, such as using masks, maintaining distance between individuals, and also cleaning hands with soap before starting work, and using hand sanitizers when working.
