Motis 2024 Program Officially Closed, Successfully Transported Over 12.000 Motorcycles for Mudik Travelers
Jakarta (19/04) – The 2024 Free Motorcycle Transport Programme (Motis), organised by the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA), has successfully transported 12.733 motorcycles of mudik travellers. This was announced by the Director General of Railways, Risal Wasal, during the closing ceremony of the Integrated Lebaran Transportation Post 1445 H in Jakarta on Friday 19 April 2024.
Risal explained that this figure represents the total accumulated number of motorcycles transported until 19 April 2024. The breakdown is as follows: "A total of 4.774 motorcycles were transported during the outbound trip, 6.343 motorcycles during the return trip, and 1.616 motorcycles during the return trip. If we add them up, the total for the Motis programme so far is 12.733 motorcycles," said Risal.
In addition to transporting motorcycles, the Motis 2024 programme has also successfully transported 43.365 passengers, as follows 28.915 passengers during the mudik and balik trips, and 14.450 passengers during the contraflow period. The peak of the Motis 2024 programme was on 5 April 2024 during the outbound trip with 928 motorcycles transported, while the peak of the return trip was on 16 April 2024 with 839 motorcycles transported.
"We would like to thank all the participants who supported and participated in the Motis 2024 programme. All the feedback and suggestions we've received will be taken into account as part of our evaluation process," said Risal.
For information, the Free Motorcycle Transport Programme (Motis) is an annual initiative organised by the DJKA Ministry of Transport as part of a presidential directive to reduce the number of mudik travellers using motorcycles. This year, the Motis 2024 programme took place from 2 to 19 April 2024, with registration open from 4 March to 18 April 2024.
