Based on Law no. 25 of 2004 concerning the National Development Planning System and Presidential Regulation Number 18 of 2020 concerning the 2020-2024 National Medium-Term Development Plan, a Strategic Plan (Renstra) for Railway Infrastructure for 2020-2024 is prepared, which is a planning document for the Echelon II Work Unit of the Directorate of RailwaysInfrastructure for a period of 5 (five) years.

The Strategic Plan for Railways Infrastructure for 2020-2024 contains development goals, targets, strategies, policies, programs, and activities that are prepared based on the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) for 2020-2024 and the Strategic Plan for the Directorate of Railways Infrastructure for 2015-2019.

With the stipulation of the 2020-2024 Strategic Plan for Railway Infrastructure, this document will then become a reference in the preparation of programs within the Directorate of Railways Infrastructure as well as Work Plans and Budgets until 2024.

Through the articulation and translation of all the mandates in the 2020-2024 Strategic Plan for Railways Infrastructure into program targets and performance targets for the next 5 (five) years, the Directorate of Railway Infrastructure is expected to be able to participate in the success of the national development vision in creating a sovereign Indonesia. , independent, and have a personality based on mutual cooperation.
