(PALEMBANG 3/4) - Makassar City Technical Team and Makassar City Technical SKPD conducted a mock study visit, consultation/comparative study to South Sumatra LRT, Thursday (1/4). The group was warmly welcomed by the Head of the South Sumatra LRT Management Office, Rosita, and his staff.

Dr. Sakka Pati said the visit was related to the operation of the South Sumatra light rail transit/LRT in accordance with Presidential Regulation No. 55 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Presidential Regulation No. 116 of 2015 concerning the Acceleration of Light Rail Transit/Light Rail Transit in South Sumatra Province.

"Our team from the Makassar City Government intends to see firsthand what the LRT looks like, which we have only heard of. This LRT in South Sumatra is the first in Indonesia, of course Makassar, South Sulawesi, also wants to do something similar. Our visit, both to The South Sumatra Provincial Government, as well as the Palembang City Government, in particular the South Sumatra Light Rail Management Center, were well received. There was so much information and notes, which became input for us which of course we will report to the Mayor of Makassar, "he explained.

He hopes that in the future, cooperation can be established. "Hopefully, God willing, we can follow up and in the future we can work together specifically, at least later from planning to implementation.
