In order to appreciate South Sumatra LRT for the increase in passengers and make a new culture as a modern society by using public transportation at present, especially in Palembang City, the South Sumatra Light Railway Management Center, Ministry of Transportation, again held LRT Fest activities. Unlike the previous year, the event was held to celebrate the 5th (fifth) anniversary of the South Sumatra LRT. LRT Fest is an annual event of the South Sumatra Light Railway Management Center, Ministry of Transportation, which has a festival theme.

Carrying the theme "Soulreborn" or a soul that revives, it can be interpreted that the reborn soul feels from across generations of various eras and is then united by Indonesian music and social activities to stay young, vibrant, and rhythmic.

As for the series of events, on 22 July 2023 there was a Poundfit "Cardio with Stick Poundfit" event. This activity was held at Ampera Station with 100 participants. In which, the building was designed by the Indonesian poundfit icon, Tari Wirtjes.

Furthermore, on 23 July 2023 at Gelora Sriwijaya Plaza JSC, there was a Fluidfair event (Culinary Festival and Other Product Sales) where there were 27 tenants who participated in the festival, consisting of food, drinks, clothing, crafts, and other products.

The highlight was one of the most anticipated events, LRTology (LRT Music Concert) by presenting Guest Star, D' Masiv, Type X, Corporal Jono. The event was hosted by Palembang MCs, Ari Cikhuy and Fadhlan Ciboy. Thus, LRT Sumsel Fest became a showcase of entertainment for generations in Palembang and South Sumatra.

The purpose of this activity is to make South Sumatra LRT a new culture of public transportation to build a modern society, revive the spirit of youth music, and develop Palembang City as a modern city through commercialization with partners.

To note, due to very high enthusiasm and interest since the opening of ticket sales from 14-21 July 2023 at the South Sumatra LRT station, as many as 5.000 tickets provided have been sold out. The prices are Rp50.000 / ticket, and the first 300 buyers get a Kriss Card.
