CONSULTATION RELATED TO COMPLETION OF FILLING AND FULFILMENT OF SUPPORTING DATA IN THE KKE SELF-ASSESSMENT OF THE MATURITY OF IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SPIP OF WORK UNITS WITHIN THE DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF RAILWAYS

Jakarta, 2-4 May 2024 - The Secretariat of the Directorate General of Railways (through the Planning Section) held an Assistance and Consultation Meeting related to the completion of filling and fulfilment of supporting data in the KKE Self-Assessment of the Maturity of Implementation of the Government Internal Control System (SPIP) of Work Units. This event took place in Jakarta and also via the Zoom Meetings platform. The three-day meeting was chaired by the Head of Planning, Secretariat of Directorate General of Railways and attended by representatives from each work unit within the Directorate General of Railways as well as representatives from Directorate of Spatial Infrastructure Supervision and Transport, BPKP and PM SPIP Quality Assurance Team, Inspectorate General, Ministry of Transport.

The main objectives of this meeting are to finalise and complete the supporting data for the Evaluation Working Paper (KKE) Self-Assessment of the Maturity of SPIP Implementation for Working Units within the Directorate General of Railways, as well as to discuss and debate on risk control, communication, and monitoring. Some of the important points discussed in this meeting were the preparation of the quality assurance of the SPIP implementation maturity self-assessment, the review of the progress of the completion of the working paper and the preparation of supporting data, as well as the continuous monitoring and separate evaluation of the risk management process. The meeting also discussed improvements to the Department of Transport's Area of Improvement (AoI) based on the results of the previous year's assessment.

The meeting also identified several areas for improvement, including upholding integrity and ethical values, commitment to competence, supportive leadership, a more effective organisational structure, and proper delegation of authority and responsibility. Participants were encouraged to develop a risk register and allocate a budget for the implementation of risk management as a follow-up to the previous evaluation. With the implementation of this meeting, it is expected that the working units within the Directorate General of Railways will be better prepared and organised for the implementation of an effective and efficient SPIP.
