Railways Maintenance Office Receives 11 CADETS OF PTDI-STTD PKL Participants

GROBOGAN — The Railways Maintenance Office in this case was represented by the Head of Sub-Division of Administration, Gunawati received 11 cadets from the Indonesian Land Transportation Polytechnic-High School of Land Transportation (PTDI-STTD) to conduct Field Work Practices (PKL), Monday (01/03/2021) ).

Located in the Meeting Room of the Railway Maintenance Center, 11 cadets consisting of 6 sons and 5 women were handed over by their accompanying lecturers to be able to carry out street vendors for 3 months at the Railways Maintenance Office.

In her remarks and directions, Gunawati reminded that in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic situation, all cadets participating in street vendors must always take care of themselves and apply health protocols in a disciplined manner.

He advised that the PKL participants who came from various regions in Indonesia could study diligently and focus while they were at the Railways Maintenance Office under the direction of the relevant team.

"Seriously but you can relax to keep the body's immune strong, so that the body condition is maintained from various diseases," he said.

Furthermore, Gunawati asked the cadets to communicate and coordinate well regarding anything needed to support the implementation of street vendors, so that all obstacles in street vendors activities can be avoided.

PTDI-STTD Lecturer Rianto Rili Prihatmantyo as the PKL supervisor team in his speech said that PKL cadets must be able to make reports at the end of the activity. The report contains the identification of the center, the findings of the problem, as well as suggestions and ideas for solutions that can later be appointed as the topic of the Mandatory Working Paper (KKW) and Thesis as a requirement for completing the Final Project.

"For the preparation of reports, the PKL cadets are divided into several groups according to the field of duty, namely planning, periodic maintenance, and heavy maintenance," said Rianto.

The output of street vendors is manifested in data collection which is packaged in a General Report which contains a portrait of the Railways Maintenance  Office which later can also be useful for the center in making a policy in the implementation of activities.

The handover ceremony for the PKL cadets was also attended by the Head of the Heavy Maintenance Section of the Prayitno Railways Maintenance Office. He explained the importance of cadet collaboration with the team at the Railways Care Office.

"The cadets as PKL participants must have high initiative, and be more active in mingling with the team at the Railways Maintenance Office," said Prayitno.

The Railway Maintenance Center is the supervisor for the cadets while carrying out street vendors from March 1 to May 31, 2021 and will continue with an Internship for one month.

It is known that this PKL activity is one of the mandatory activities for PTDI-STTD cadets who have entered the Final Level in each Study Program. For three months, PKL cadets will carry out a survey to find out the existing maintenance tasks and functions.
