Requirements in the Determination of Railway Traces
What is Trace? and What is the process for determining the Railway Route?
Before discussing further, let's find out together, what is Trace? stipulated in the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia Number PM 11 of 2012 concerning Procedures for Determining Railroad Traces, in Chapter I Article 1 that Tracing is a railroad track plan whose coordinates are known.
Before building a railroad track, a railroad track must be determined first. Determination of railroad alignment aims to realize harmony between the railroad network and regional spatial planning according to its level, integration of spatial use control for railroad networks in the context of protecting spatial functions and preventing negative impacts on the environment due to railroad construction, network integration the railway line as an integral part of the national transportation network system so as to facilitate and expedite services for the transportation of people and/or goods as well as efficiency in the operation of the railways.
Determination of the railroad track alignment is a guideline for carrying out technical planning activities, analysis of environmental impacts or UKL and UPL, as well as land acquisition prior to carrying out the construction of the railway line.
Prior to carrying out the construction of railway infrastructure, the Minister, Governor, Regent/Mayor in accordance with their authority determines the alignment of the railway line in accordance with the Railway Master Plan. (PP 56/2009).
In the event that the Minister determines the alignment of the national railway line and in giving approval for the determination of the alignment of the provincial or regency/city railway line, the Minister forms a team evaluating the proposed alignment of the railway line which at least consists of work units from technical, legal, financial and planning elements. (PM 11/2012).
Requirements for technical studies that must be completed before determining the railroad alignment include:
