The Ministry of Transportation holds a vaccination in Solo Raya to commemorate National Transportation Day

Boyolali (17/09) -In commemoration of the 2021 National Transportation Day, the Ministry of Transportation through the Directorate General of Railways and the Directorate General of Land Transportation held a vaccination activity titled Bakti for the Country which was centered in Boyolali.

"This vaccination activity was carried out thanks to the collaboration of the Ministry of Transportation with the ranks of the Regional Government in the Solo Raya Agglomeration area, the TNI-Polri, and the ranks of SOEs in the transportation sector," said Secretary of the Directorate General of Railways Zulmafendi in his report in front of the Minister of Transportation during a review of the vaccination location in the sub-district pavilion. Ngemplak Boyolali Regency.

Furthermore, Zulmafandi said that this vaccination activity is targeted to reach 25,000 residents in 167 points spread throughout Solo Raya.

Specifically for the implementation of vaccinations at the Ngemplak District Office, Boyolali Regency, the target of participants is to reach 1,200 individuals consisting of the elderly, disabled, transportation actors, students, traders and the general public.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi in his speech said that through this vaccination activity, he hoped that the Solo Raya agglomeration area could soon reach a 100% vaccination rate. "People's lives are stressed by this pandemic. Therefore, the President ordered us to take preventive measures with this vaccination," he continued.

The vaccination center points in Solo Raya include Surakarta City (2,431 doses), Sukoharjo Regency (1,716 doses), Klaten Regency (4,862 doses), Sragen Regency (3,575 doses), Wonogiri Regency (4,862 doses), Karanganyar Regency (3,003 doses), and Boyolali Regency (3,575 doses). In addition, 900 doses were also given for the vaccination program at the Tirtonadi Terminal.

In this review, the Minister of Transportation conducted a teleconference with similar activities carried out in 6 other regencies in the Greater Solo Region.

In addition, in this series of activities, there was also the provision of basic food assistance and fruit packages from the archipelago to the community and health workers who were at the forefront of handling the pandemic. (hja/spn)
