Palembang, 4 March 2024 - The South Sumatra Light Railway Management Center (BPKARSS) held a socialization event on PPID Governance (Information Management and Documentation Officer) and the compilation of public information lists. 

The event, held in the Consulate Room of Novotel Hotel Palembang, was designed to enhance understanding of public information service standards and PPID governance within the South Sumatra Light Railway. Attendees included representatives from the Information Commission of South Sumatra Province and other relevant parties.

Two commissioners of the South Sumatra Provincial Information Commission delivered the material presentation. Mr. M. Arwadi, Vice Chairman of the Information Commission of Sumatra Province, delivered a presentation on the implementation of public information service standards. 

He made it clear that implementing public information service standards is crucial to guaranteeing transparent and accountable access to information for the public. 

Mr. Joemarthine Chandra from the Institutional and Cooperation Division of the South Sumatra Provincial Information Commission delivered a clear and comprehensive presentation on PPID governance and understanding the public information list. 

He provided a comprehensive explanation of effective PPID governance and the procedure for creating a list of public information in compliance with relevant regulations. Following the presentation of the material by the two speakers, attendees were invited to participate in a question-and-answer session. 

The attendees asked a range of questions on the implementation of public information service standards and PPID governance within the South Sumatra Light Railway Management Center. 

Furthermore, this event is also a momentum to exchange experiences between employees of the South Sumatra Railway Management Center and other related parties in terms of public information management. 

This is expected to provide greater insight and strengthen cooperation in an effort to realize better public information services in the South Sumatra region. 

With the holding of this socialization event, it is hoped that an understanding of PPID governance and the preparation of a list of public information at the South Sumatra Light Railway Management Center can increase, thus having a positive impact on efforts to increase transparency and accountability in the management of public information in South Sumatra.
