LRT Jabodebek Promotional Fare Extended, DJKA Encourages Public to Switch from Private Vehicles

Jakarta (01/03) – The Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) of the Ministry of Transportation has extended the promotional fare for the Jabodebek LRT until March 31, 2024. This extension aims to continue attracting the public to use mass transportation, helping to reduce traffic congestion in Jakarta and surrounding areas.

Arif Anwar, the Director of Railway Traffic and Transportation, mentioned that the fare extension is in line with the Minister of Transportation’s Decree No. KM 67 of 2023, which regulates the fare for Light Rail Transit (LRT) services in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, and Bekasi areas, fulfilling the public service obligations.

“This promotion is being implemented through Public Service Obligation (PSO) subsidies, making the fares more affordable for the public,” Arif explained.
