REVIEW THE TRAIN ENGINEERING LOCATION BANDUNG – BANJAR, THE DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF RAILWAYS APPRECIATES THE RAILWAY ENGINEERING CENTER FOR THE WEST JAVA AREA.

Tasikmalaya, January 3,  2021,

The Director-General of Railways reviewed the location of the underpass and overpass construction in the Tasikmalaya area as part of a series of reviews of Nataru transportation in 2021. In accordance with the government's program for dealing with level crossings, the Director General of Railways requested that each center properly implement this program. "Every center must have activities for dealing with level crossings, with the construction of overpasses or underpasses tailored to the character and conditions of existing crossings," Zulfikri said on the sidelines of a visit to the Banjar Tasikmalaya area.

The intersection of the railway line and the road is not made on a plot, as mandated by Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 23 of 2007, Article 91, paragraph 1. As a result, the underpass or overpass construction program is critical for improving rail travel safety by eliminating level crossings. This is also inextricably linked to development achievements, such as track improvement activities and line construction, such as the Double Line of the Java South Cross Railway, which connects Cirebon to Mojokerto. The frequency of train trips increases as traffic capacity is increased. As a result, the need for underpass and overpass construction is critical, according to Zulfikri. "I appreciate the West Java Center for programming the construction of this underpass and overpass, and I hope that other centers can program similar activities," he said.

Meanwhile, Anung, the PPK of activities on the Bandung - Banjar Road Improvement Activities and Bandung - Ciroyom Signaling, stated that there are at least five developments in the context of handling level crossings in their working areas, which include two overpasses, two underpasses, and one JPO that is accommodated in three work packages. The activity will take place from 2020 to 2021, with the goal of completing it by the middle of 2021. The work locations are spread across several locations, including Overpass km. 260+350, Raopolah-Indihiang, Underpass km. 259+770 Raopolah-Indihiang, JPO km. 260+900. Manonjaya-Ciamis, Overpass KM. 286+125, Manonjaya-Ciamis and Km Underpass. 300+200, Bojong – Banjar.
