The 2024 AKIP awards were presented directly by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Transportation, Novie Riyanto, in Jakarta. In addition to BTP Kelas I Semarang, the awards also recognized various other implementing units (PPID Executives and Technical Implementation Units) within the Ministry of Transportation under categories ranging from Informative, Towards Informative, to Moderately Informative.
Appreciation and Future Challenges
The Head of BTP Kelas I Semarang, Rudi Pitoyo, expressed his gratitude for this achievement and commended the hard work of the public information service team.
“This award is a testament to the extraordinary contributions of our information officers who consistently meet the public’s information needs. They are the driving force behind this success,” Rudi said.
However, Rudi emphasized that maintaining the status of an Informative Public Agency in the future would pose its own set of challenges. “Future challenges will grow more complex, especially in meeting public expectations for high-quality information transparency. Nevertheless, we are optimistic about continuously improving our public service quality and information transparency,” he added.
Encouraging Transparency and Accountability
The AKIP awards serve as recognition of the commitment of all work units within the Ministry of Transportation to upholding the mandate of Law No. 14 of 2008 on Public Information Transparency. Secretary-General Novie Riyanto expressed his hope that these awards would inspire all work units to innovate further in public information management and services.
“We are proud. This award should motivate us to always remain transparent, objective, and excellent in our efforts,” Novie stated.
Through transparent and accountable public information, BTP Kelas I Semarang reaffirms its commitment to becoming a trusted source of public information and a role model in information services within the railway transportation sector.
