Director of Railways Safety Conducts Monitoring and Evaluation of State-Owned Facilities at the Warehouse of Railways Engineering Office for South Sumatra Region

Palembang, Thursday (2/9/21) Director of Railways Safety, Edi Nur Salam accompanied by the Head of Administration for Class II Railway Engineering Office for South Sumatra Region (BTP Sumbagsel) and his team carried out monitoring activities in the South Sumatra Region. The monitoring and evaluation activities aim to monitor the condition of the use of State-Owned Facilities in order to support the implementation of the duties and functions of the South Sumatra BTP as a railway regulator in the South Sumatra Region.

Dirkes Edi Nur Salam saw firsthand some of the State-Owned Facilities in Payakabung Warehouse. There are two Forklift units, one Excavator unit and a series of PPCW Flat Cars which are located (stabling) in the Payakabung Warehouse area. Meanwhile, other State-Owned Facilities such as 2 units of Multi Tie Temper, a series of ZZOW Open Carriages and one unit of lorry are positioned in the cross section of the Bungamas-Lubuk Linggau railway line improvement work.

On that occasion, Edi Nur Salam said, "State-owned railway infrastructure and facilities must be maintained and maintained properly so that they can be used sustainably because these are elements that need to be considered in realizing railway safety".

In addition to carrying out the monitoring and evaluation on State-Owned Facilities, Director of Railways Safety Edi Nur Salam also carried out safety evaluation activities in the railway sector by conducting a review of 4 proposed JPL manuals by the Muara Enim Regional Government, namely JPL 121, 121, 01 and 03. As well as checking 3 JPL assets of the Directorate General The railways are JPL 127 and JPL 02 in Muara Enim and JPL 76 in Prabumulih. Director of Railways Safety, Edi Nur Salam, closed a series of monitoring and evaluation activities in the South Sumatra Region by distributing aid in the form of food parcels for local residents affected by Covid-19 accompanied by the Head of South Sumatra BTP LSK and his team.
