Accompanying the Minister of Transportation and Director General of Railways, Director of Railways Infrastructure Ensures the Construction of Jatake Station Infrastructure Meets Eligibility Standards

Jakarta - Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi together with the Director General of Railways Zulfikri accompanied by the Director of Railway Infrastructure Heru Wisnu Wibowo and the ranks of the Jakarta and Banten Regional Railway Engineering Centers inspected the construction site of Jatake Station, Friday (5/3)

The new station is planned to be located at KM 36+700 to KM 37+200 between Cicayur-Parung Panjang crossing Tanah Abang-Merak Village, Jatake Village, Pagedangan District, Tangerang Regency.

During his visit, the Minister of Transportation hoped that PT Kereta Api Indonesia and PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk as the Executor of Development would immediately carry out their duties.

"I hope the development will be carried out as soon as possible, because with this development we can create job opportunities for the surrounding community." Budi Karya said.

In addition, the Minister of Transportation also emphasized to always apply the Health Protocol in the development process considering that the Covid-19 pandemic is still ongoing.

Construction of Jatake Station will begin in March 2021 and is targeted to be completed within 1.5 years.

The station, which was built with purely private funds according to a concession agreement between the Directorate General of Railways, PT KAI (Persero) and PT BSD Tbk, will have 3 floors equipped with escalators, elevators, commercial areas, parking locations for bicycles, motorbikes, and cars as well as mode integration facilities. advanced.

The Director of Railway Infrastructure who was also present at the visit said that the construction of infrastructure and infrastructure inside the station must meet the building feasibility standards as stipulated in PM 29 of 2011 concerning the Technical Requirements of Railway Station buildings.

"Infrastructure development must comply with guidelines issued by the government, namely the construction, material, design, size and capacity of the station building must be in accordance with the standards of feasibility, safety and security as well as smoothness so that all station buildings can function reliably within the period according to the technical age of the building" said Heru Wisnu Wibowo.

The location of the station which is strategic and connected to the Gading Serpong area and borders the Bogor Regency is expected to have a positive impact on the economic growth of local residents. (dippraska)
